Watercolor Play!

Watercolor Play! - student project

Thank you Jen for another fun and informative class! This is a completely different way of working for me, so I wasn't quite sure where to take things once I got the first few background layers down. But it was really nice to do something new and just have fun experimenting and seeing where the paint takes you. Here's what I came up with.

This one looks very much like a landscape to me. I think I want to add a flying dragon or something in the sky to finish the piece but haven't decided for sure what to do just yet. I also started to play with color palettes.

This brush, not sure what kind it is as I inherited it from another artist, is really great for loose paintings and creates lovely textures.

And I saved my favorite for last. I started with a loose wet in wet background, just dropping in colors. Then when it dried and I was trying to decide what to do next, I saw an elephant shape so that's where I went with it.

So hard for me to stay working abstract lol! Hope you like my take on it. :)
