Vintage-inspired Tulip (Sample Project)

Vintage-inspired Tulip (Sample Project) - student project

For the sample class project, I decided to use my illustration of a tulip. I chose this piece for the project because it's a good representation of how you can use the mixed media method in the vintage-inspired botanical style, with a much simpler execution.

Choosing a single subject flower (no stems, leaves, or buds) really simplifies the process, and I also worked in other media like markers. I hope it will inspire you to adapt the process whenever necessary and to tackle the project even if it means approaching it at a smaller scale.
