Vintage Flowers

Vintage Flowers - student project

Before starting a project I tried to gather as much reference images as possible.

William Morris style patterns and textiles always inspired me and of course the best places for such inspiration are museums, botanical gardens and books! :)

This floral pattern I've created using Offset filter in Photoshop.

Seamless pattern is more intuitive and difficult one and it took several attempts before I understood the whole logic of it :)

Before creating a seamless motif I’ve added some textures to the existing illustration for a maximum visual impact.

Oh and of course the hand-drawn pattern is my favourite one. Xerox machine ran out of inks right away after I finished the project. Well I just couldn’t stop experimenting and printing on different coloured papers again and again :D

There is still so much to learn but I’m very happy with a result!

Thanks for joining my journey)
