Value practice(oil)

Value practice(oil) - student project

hey there

Here are some value scales I did and some different blacks I made:

for the value scales I used some of the colors I had mixed and liked from my previous assignment(color mixing grid)

And this is my painting of the folded fabric and my reference model:

I used Prussian Blue, Phthalo Blue, Raw Umber and some Cad Yellow.

The real challenge I faced doing this assignment was actually "sitting for it"

I hung my fabric and it stayed there for days. I wouldn't start working on it thinking I can't do it and it might not turn out good and I might get disappointed .

Then I reminded myself that its not about creating a masterpiece! its about exploring, so I did it anyways. Happy i did so.

remember "just do it"
