I'm not familiar with electronics projects, and thanks to Ben's complete and detailed explanations, I made this UV unit box in less than an hour. I can print two 5x7 cyanotypes or one 8x10 cyanotype.
I live in Seattle, WA and the lack of sunlight was my greatest motivation!
I added an extension cord with an on/off switch to the box. I control it with my feet. Very useful when I'm testing different time expositions.
As a graphic designer, I appreciate the UV unit Box (aka Ben's box) allows me to have some visual consistency when I print several times the same negative.
I'll certainly make another one to print larger cyanotypes.
