Here are the two writing exercises I did:

He always looks closely at the price of everything we put in our basket. When we get to the cash register, he:

• counts all the notes in his wallet
• counts all the coins from his pockets
• pauses for the longest five seconds in history
• shushes the teller if anything is said
• then pays by debit card

It is most embarrassing.

Bacteria is easily spread from plant to plant by:

• rain splashes carrying bacteria from one plant to another
• birds
• insects
• animals or
• an infected plant rubbing against its neighbor
