I deviated when tree sketch turned more shroom-like (I adore amanitas though). Family member told me that they like background more defined, since I wanted to scratch it to be more blurred, less defined as it is in lessons, so I listened. I struggled through this course, since I like getting sucked into details, but still learned a lot, and maybe I'll re-try it in the future, to achieve this impressionist style. I used only primary colors, no umbers since I still learn how to paint with values.
