Thank you Khadija for this beautiful class! I enjoyed the different locations, and so far I painted the Netherlands and Arizona.

The area in the Netherlands with all the windmills is near Rotterdam and called Kinderdijk. (ij pronounced y.) I enjoyed visiting it almost 3 decades ago with my parents, when they visited while I was studying there for a year. Sweet memories; thank you for giving me an excuse ;-) to paint this special place! 

And Arizona is special too; as we visited the Grand Canyon with my husband on our honeymoon travel. It was so beautiful, but cold in January. I want to go back and see it in mid season (Spring or Fall, when the temperatures are nice and you can hike!). The mountains here were a bit more challenging.
