Tokens of Joy of Today

Tokens of Joy of Today - student project

What a great project to think about what brings us joy and sketch that

what brings me joy today:

  1. my favorite brush bought in Tokyo at the great Pigment Shop
  2. my childhood pencils (well the same brand but bought again and again: Supracolor Soft II by Caran D'Ache
  3. the flowers which grow between the bricks on my doorstep
  4. a doll from a childhood anime I used to watch on wednesday afternoons with my sister at my grandparents house
  5. a small "matchbox doll" I used to collect with my sister and my childhood friend. This is particularly special because my childhood friend died 2 years ago...
  6. a bialetti coffee pot from Italy. I find it very beautiful but I prefer the coffee from the big coffee machine
  7. a tea cup from île de la Réunion where I went to teach a workshop just after covid. It was my best holiday feeling ever. I love to sketch tea cups

I sketched it in a big sketchbook I started long time ago. It has great paper from Saunders Waterford. Hot press. I used watercolor and color pencil
