Tiny oasis of cuteness

Admittedly these plants were in place before I watched this class. I just wanted to show them off because I'll be moving soon and will have to let go of them.

I'm moving back to my home country thanks in part due to Ana's class on Maximizing Happiness at Home, where I realized just how much this apartment was never going to work for me, no matter how much effort and expense I put into fixing it up. There are too many factors outside my control - even the culture is out of alignment with my values. This just isn't where I'm meant to be.

So here's the one place in this apartment that I truly love, my desk area. I'm so happy I was able to create one space where my design personality shows through. I also have two plants propping up doors (which otherwise sit half open) that add a cheery pop of color. It isn't an ideal placement for such small plants, as they'd prefer more air circulation, but they seem to be doing great.

Keep your fingers crossed that all these plants go to a good home! I'm looking forward to re-creating a beautiful plant-filled space in my next home, wherever that ends up being.

Thanks Ana for all your thought-provoking classes!Tiny oasis of cuteness - image 1 - student projectTiny oasis of cuteness - image 2 - student project
