I tried to apply these tips to some of my completed works. I do think that the cooler/warmer color trick improves the depth in the bears illustration. I think it's less easy to see in the underwater scene. I don't think this is really a fair test of these principles, though, since I didn't plan to use them from the start. I look forward to incorporating these ideas into future artwork! Thank you for the tips!
