Hello everyone, I'm Carolina, a graphic designer from Chile but currently living in Portugal. So I was a bit away from this area of work and more into the tourism and customer service work.

After I discovered Skillshare I just felt as if I was back in class with so many updated and useful information that I just want to work again on Design with this renewed and fresh ideas to accomplish.

For this project, the case of study is The Potting Shed, I admit I had to google it to understand that:

"A potting shed is a structure in a garden which is designed to be used for storage of garden tools and to accomplish various gardening tasks"

"The potting shed is the heart of the garden"

So first, I read the questionnaire and gathered some images at Pinterest regarding the colors and also checked out the brand they liked : Free People. So I got the following concepts of Bohemian, Romantic, Organic

 

Soon I'll post the progress of this project :) 

The next step was to put together some types and graphic elements for the logo. Still not sure about the  outcome, because I feel that this style of typographic is this year's trend and maybe, I've seen it too much, but the truth is, that it conveys well the idea of romantic and organic.

I'm still deciding which of the 3 logos fill better the idea of Bohemian, Romantic and Organic. For the moment, I'm more inclined for the one in the middle.

UPDATE: Apr 12th, 2016.

So I structured the branding board (first time using one), and it actually helped a lot to have a preview of the whole project and how the colors, patterns and details would blend together. 

Also for the first time I used the mockups and ... wow!... maybe exagerated a bit with all the patterns because I was very excited of the results! :)
