I had fun but was a little frustrated with this project. The frustration mainly stems from not having worked with markers enough and not letting go of trying to be "perfect" in some sense.

However, getting to know the medium and materials and trying the techniques on a few illustrations has been eye-opening, and I enjoy the process. 

I worked on a few pieces during and after watching this class. 

My first attempt using the class image for reference. 

 

Found a photo I took from traveling and tested out some of the colors of my markers before tackling the illustration.

 

 

I searched Google for a nice sunset to play with more colors. I also tried my hand at a blender marker. I'm still figuring out the techniques and learning patience! :)

 

I picked up a cheap marker set and did my color swatches to see what each color looked like on paper. I had enough colors for what I needed for this class and future projects.
