Student Project - House Music mastered with Ozone 10 - student project

Hi DJ Legion,

First of all thank you for your excellent course. You made it very informative and detailed and I got a few great tips out of it. Especially the idea that the Maximiser Gain Reduction should remain below -6dB to avoid distortion. That was a great tip.

I used the new modules in my latest House track to try them out. I came across a few interesting findings: When playing my song to the new Master Asiistant, it picked my song to be 'Reggae' and when playing a different section, it picked 'Rock'. So, I had to override it to EDM.

I like the stabiliser module, but I had to automate the Bass frequencies (Low) to go from 100 to 0 during the build-up of my song. In my build-up I used a high pass filter to remove the base to build excitement for the drop. However, the stabiliser module wanted to boost the bass at those points, so I had to turn it off with automation.

I turned off the 'soft clip' option, as I didn't like the slight distortion it caused.

I used the 'recover sides' in the Imager at the suggested levels to give some more stereo width.

I'm still a bit unsure of the impact module, so I left all settings close to the suggested levels.

I didn't use the 'Master Rebalance' or 'Low End Focus' modules.

Maybe you can have a listen and provide me some feedback and your opinion to see if I could tweak anything a bit better?

Many thanks again.
