I'm so grateful that you took the course and shared our art here!Nobody is a pro when starting out, so just the fact that you took that leap and tried something new should be celebrated! I think you mixed the skin tones quite nicely, and were able to preserve lighter areas.I don't have access to your reference photo, but I'd encourage you to keep practicing and focusing on proportions to improve your drawings. Try to really focus on what you see. Drawing smiles is really difficult, so I'd try to learn with more neutral expressions first.Another tip is, don't be afraid of contrast! That will make you paintings more interesting, and give them more depth.Thank you again for taking my class, I hope it was fun!
