Small Oasis in a gloomy city

Small Oasis in a gloomy city - student project

of course there are trademarks because I didn't want to pay and they also didn't have a lot of options on canva, but I designed it from scratch! My very first attempt at interior design was so much fun. I wanted to have color, wood, and plants while still being very simple and minimalistic. I wanted to have that contrast of being in a city (hence the window) and still having my own oasis and "natural" atmosphere in the midst of urban areas. The yellow abstract paint was on accident, but I ended up liking it a lot and could imagine the paint only being in that one area and the rest of the wall in the room being white. I like the idea of actually painting on the wall and having thick paint to add a different texture. I also could imagine the sofa facing a cozy, simple fire place. I ended using such light colors in the whole scheme because being in the city is often dark and gloomy. I like the idea that as soon as I enter the place, I am completely transformed into nature for the living room area, where I'd also have space for yoga & meditation.
