Panel 1: edar talking to scholar head in hand
Vl: we could reinforce the wall, but for the time and resources that will take, will it be worth it? they can clearly climb.
Panel 2: lorik is rifling through scrolls
Lorik: aha! look here edar, this is a long shot but
Panel 3: lorik unfurls a scroll showing the beacon with surrounding text
Lorik: there is a local legend surrounding a wizard and his tower, in the forest north of here. He died or left the area long ago, but his tower apparently still remains
Panel 4: edar strokes his chin thoughtfully
Edar: im listening.
Panel 4: lorik taps the image of the beacon
Lorik: this beacon was used as a shield for the tower, he was protected from the forest beasts. As far as i know the tower remains unspoiled. What if we could get that beacon and use it for ourselves?
Panel 5: edar looks at lorik questioningly
Edar: thats a bit of a long shot isnt it? you know i trust your advice lorik but this is a big shot in the dark. What if the tower has been plundered? what if the wizard returned? what if whoever we send cant get past that very shield? not to mention getting there....
Panel 6: lorik sits forward leaning on his staff
Lorik: all valid concerns old friend. But what other choice do we have? we have too few warriors, the wall no longer protects as it once did and besides, sending one person on this quest wont stop us pursuing other options in the meantime
Page 5
Panel 1: edar raises an eyebrow
Edar: wait, one.. person. You would send one person by themselves into the forest to find a tower that might not even be there any more? who would be foolish enough to accept such a charge?
Panel 2: knock at the door, edar turns to look
Lorik: enter!
Panel 3: brom enters
