I'm such an addict to self-portraits, simple quick fun self-portraits that I make while I'm waiting on hold, or when I can't think of what else to draw. That's why I include them on the slides for all my classes. And that's why I made this class!

This lovely sweater, knitted for me by my mother in law, was the inspiration behind the striped sweater in my self-portrait. And here you can see my spiffy glasses as well! 

For me, self-portraits are the perfect no-pressure project, and I love looking back on them to see how I'm changed, how my art has changed, and what I was focusing on a week ago or a month ago or a year ago. Self-portraits also have a particular way of recording your mood even when you don't mean them to, since they record how you feel about yourself.
