I knew I wanted to work with a few quotes and decided to pick some of my favorite quotes from the book Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  In my neighborhood there is an old mansion that has a community flower garden which is hidden behind a mansion and I like to refer to it as my secret garden. 

Below, are some pictures I took in the garden this summer. Which is where I gathered inspiration for my drawings. 

Here is a picture of my flower sketched before I painted them with water color. The pencil lines I made soft so I could paint with not issues, but it means the picture is not very good.
