I understand that feeling, and that’s something I am kind of working on at the moment myself. I painting something of my own, but didn’t like the outcome. I could see the areas where I could improve and decided to paint it again. The second time was even worse. The painting turned out fine, but I added a background to it that turned out horrible. I put it aside, but then decided maybe I need to continue on and keep trying until it becomes more muscle memory, especially doing the wet on wet where I struggle the most.  So I am now working on my third attempt. After this attempt I have decided I might want to keep continue doing this by at least painting the same subject matter more than once until I feel it becomes more instinctive. Watercolor is a fickle medium for sure.  But it is sure fun and beautiful when it all comes together huh?  Happy painting Ineke :)

Thank you, Maria, for your support. Since I've been diagnosed with PD, days go by when I don't feel like painting. It is essential to keep my brain active in ways that take my mind off my feelings. 

Wet on wet definitely takes on a life of its own sometimes and doesn't always behave how we are expecting, but it's exciting to see the results. Your sky is beautiful and the reflections in the water are perfect. Also your people on the boat are so good. Well done!!!

My sky didn't go as planned. I struggled with the wet on wet. I'm happy with my sail boat.
