Hey Desmond. The wipe transition effect was made by animating masks to reveal the layers. I've outlined this in video 9 -'Animating Masks'. The jittery loop on the texture is a 'boiling' effect that I've explained in Video 12 - Tips for polishing your final export. Let me know if it's still not making sense! Hope that helps.
