I love drawing portraits, but mine tend to be detailed and painted by hand. I really enjoyed Andrea's use of decorative pattern and limited flat color so wanted to see what I could do with those elements while remaining true to my own style. I was also intrigued by trying to stylize the features without any color gradation.

I played around with the color quite a bit and I'm not sure I've got it quite where I want it yet, but this was an enjoyably challenging project.
