Thanks for this great class! Made this after watching this class a few times. Still have lots to learn and practice. Unfortunately have never tried digital before. Charcoal is really fun. Black and white charcoal on grey paper. I drew the planes over the reference photo and made a detailed gesture sketch.  Main focus for me was to practice facial structure. Please feel free to tell me what is wrong.

 

 

 

Adding some exercises... gestures were done in 5 minutes, some I pause to add just a bit more detail. Have been looking at different artists interpretations of the planes of the head also. I am gravitating towards the Reilly method, but I am not there yet in fully understanding it. Would just like to know am I doing the analyzing correctly? Is it making sense? Sometimes I see something and I am not entirely sure how it is supposed to go around the head.  Like in the top two pics, I am confused as what should be going on on the left side of the face.
