I tried dropping in some water, but I feel like it just doesn't move the way it does in your tutorial. I don't know if it is the paper I'm using (Canson XL watercolor paper 140 pounds/300grams), or if I am dropping in the water at the wrong time -too wet or too dry? I'd love any advice you can give me!

as the sheen goes off the watercolour on the paper but is not quite dry...try dropping in water then. Have a play and experiment, the more you play around the more you learn and then can use this knowledge in your paintings....have fun splashing! :)

Thank you! I'll try playing more! I'm not a very "go with the flow" type of person in real life, so this loose style was a challenge for me, but I LOVED it! Just need to get braver and experiment! Thank you for your advice. I look forward to more of your classes!
