Pets at Weddings: The Dos and Don’ts

Pets at Weddings: The Dos and Don’ts - student project

Project Title
Pets at Weddings: The Dos and Don’ts

Project Description
For my final project, I created an SEO-optimised blog article exploring the rising trend of including pets in weddings. Using the focus keyphrase “pets in weddings”, the piece balances engaging, conversational writing with strategic SEO techniques such as keyword integration, structured subheadings, meta description, alt text, and a clear call to action.

The blog post is written in a Teen Vogue meets Hello Giggles tone to make it relatable, fun, and shareable, while still being informative and professional. It follows a clear structure—introduction, body (with dos, don’ts, and alternatives), and conclusion—designed to enhance readability and user experience.

This project demonstrates my ability to:

  • Conduct keyword research and select a strong focus keyphrase.

  • Build an outline and structure content for SEO and audience engagement.

  • Write in a consistent, conversational style while integrating SEO best practices.

  • Incorporate microcopy such as meta descriptions, URL suggestions, alt text, and internal linking.

  • Craft compelling subheadings, a click-worthy title, and a persuasive call to action.

The result is a well-rounded, SEO-friendly blog article that provides value to readers planning their weddings, while also showcasing my ability to apply the full range of skills from the SEO Copywriting Essentials course.
