Hi Hong Ye, I see that you have mastered the reflection technique. Very well done and very inspiring for me to wake up to on a Monday morning  and see such a well executed painting. I suspect you have done one of two things to make the paint bleed underneath the tape. 1- Did you use brown masking tape or scotch tape? If so I would suggest using green or blue 'Low Tack Painter's Tape, as it really keeps out the paint and moisture. Masking tape is very inferior and highly acidic. 2- You may have put your tape on after wetting the paper. Or you may have not pressed the tape down enough. Here is your beautiful 'Reflections' painting all cleaned up and ready to email to all your family and friends. I tried your method of streching again, but the paper still buckled. Would be that 9*12 paper is too big for this method or my tape is not good enough?

I use the regular Tartan masking tape, May i ask which brand you use? 

(I search the Amazon, but dont know which one is suitable in this case, they all advertised as professional and for artist, so does my Tartan which seems to be not good enough though.... )

I looked up your type of tape (Tartan) and it would not be suitable for the 'white edges' we are looking for. Clear packing tape is too light and does not keep the water out from the edges.

You want to get Painter's tape from your local 'Box Store"
Here is a link you can copy and paste. There are lots of kinds to choose from just make sure it says 'Painter's Tape'

The brown masking tape or clear packing tapes will not work.

Try some smaller sizes of 140lb paper when you get your tape. Please let me know how it works.

Here is the result using Method 1, but the paint seeped into the tape so that I can not have the white sharp edge T-T
