Is this something like a membership fee?I saw you have a tool in the features of your website, that gives financial information about where the money go - this is really, really nice!What is the current status of the project now??Well, Scott, after reading more about your project, I really really like it and hope you turn it into a really successful endeavor! Ilia, it's great to connect with you and thanks so much for the feedback... To answer your question(s)... we have three levels of membership: Free, Gold, and Platinum... so not to exclude anyone, but you get different perks with the paid memberships. Currently, we are getting ready to launch in about a month... I do plan on trying to expand this abroad as well... :)

Scott, nice deck and presentation video, and most of all, it's great to get people to participate in giving more.  I'd like to better understand your revenue model.  When you show a membership card, how does that fit in?  Likewise with the educational learning aspect?

Thanks for your feedback... I enjoyed viewing yours as well... Memberships are as follows: Free, Gold, Platinum (Gold and Platinum have a monthly fee associated with them and they get elevated perks with the membership as well) - I can't disclose what in the pitch deck however.The eLearning class on Philanthropy will be given to universities for free, but the students will still have to sign up to take the course. Corporations will pay a flat annual rate or monthly fee to allow their employees to take the course and become certified. This falls under the whole Corporate Social Responsibility umbrella that more corporations are integrating into their business model.Hope that helps?Cheers,Scott

This project looks amazing! I love you actually have your revenue projections laid out for everyone to see. A lot of charities like to say how much they raised each year..but I like to see numbers. I know a DJ here in Dallas and he said his charity raised 250k this last year but they spent almost 230k in marketing and holding the charity events. By year 3 you guys are definitely on the upswing. Wonderful work and keep in touch!

Looking at the numbers on your financials, it's a little... hard to believe. Do you have that many users yet? It seems you're taking a top-down approach in your financial projections. Why dont you try a bottoms-up approach? How much is customer acquisition? How long does it take to get a user? How many users do you have? How many of those users can you convert into paying users per moth? Example:It takes 50 sales calls to get 10 active users. Of those 10, 7 turn into active paying numbers. Then you can extrapolate from some assumptions like this to get numbers. 600K revenue/month is ridiculously high and the hundreds of billions market seems really high as well. Think about customer acquisition cost and the distribution channels you currently have. The 229 billion is your total addressable market, but what's your sizable addressable market? Then go down from there? All my comments are mostly concerning the unit economics that you have in your deck. If you have any questions, I'd love to talk more.

Hi Amado... Thanks for your feedback. So for clarification purposes, by the end of the 3rd year we will be in 20 cities with 500 members each paying an average of $60 per month for membership. It may be moving in the opposite direction of what you may expect, but you shouldn't think that our revenue model is based off of $229 billion being donated. While there's hundreds of billions of dollars at play in the overall market, we are appealing to the Gen Y masses (70 million + people between the ages of 18-34) while focusing on a niche (15.7 million young professionals) that will bring in roughly .005% ($12,000,000 out of $229,000,000,000) of the overall market value per year after 3 years.Our membership numbers are based on a very small percentage of overall success through our different channels. Membership was based off of our companies different initiatives.Obviously, with a pitch deck we are not able to articulate everything, such as the costs for the initiatives, which is just marketing, salaries, and the expenses for any CSR related activities. I think the main issue confusing you is the lack of detail to highlight all of this. We have very detailed expansive pro-forma statements and the $600k in monthly revenue comes in the final month of the 3rd fiscal year.DoSomething.org has 2.5 million+ members, imagine how much appeal we will have to thousands of young professionals looking to be a part of something, but have very little time to commit to something on a regular basis.I would be more than happy to send you our financials so that you can take a closer look at a 100 foot level, as opposed to a 10,000 foot level if you would like and thanks again for your feedback. I may change one of the slides based on your input, so that it's not as confusing to people.

Great project. Very timely. Just one remark. There are a few big numbers included and I know they must mean a lot, however it would help if you could find a way to make those numbers more accessible and more easily understood.

Thanks for the feedback Franck... I understand that those are big numbers, yet the purpose of our pitch deck is only to generate interest from prospective investors. If they are curious to know more, they will then ask for our complete biz plan and pro-forma statements.The pitch deck is for them to decide the following:a) I like the concept (or not) b) I do think there's a need for it (or not) c) The team behind it seems solid (or not) d) The numbers seem attainable/reasonable (or not)And e) I want to know more about the business plan and the financialsI hope that makes sense?
