Now Complete: Bright (!) Gouache Florals

I started with Exercise #2 first, Creative Composition.  I wanted to test out some new gouache colours and I used these 5 colours (+white) exclusively. 

This is the first time I've added black line to my gouache florals...I like the effect.

Next I attempted Exercise #1, Isolated Colour Palette, with 3 main colours: purple, peach, and green.  It's a bit of a hot mess, and my line work needs work, but here it is:

The above image is from a scan with a little Photoshop editing.  

Below is the actual spread in my sketchbook.  I managed to get a nice photo in natural light, and I prefer the subtle difference in colouring here.

Before tackling the third combo exercise, I did another test page of newly acquired gouache colours, and tried out some floral doodles, using photo reference from my garden :)
