Navigating through my first leadership role
As a co-lead for our final BA project, designing a magazine from scratch, I had a handful to take away from that.
I realised I could have used a lot from a class like this. To narrow it down to one point, my Favorite is " Being a Sheild as a Leader."
In the world of media today, where the view of standing alone is popularised, the idea of a strong collaborative leader may drown out. A leader who acts as a shield and shoulders responsibility ensuring the team that you are someone they could lean on to collaboratively fix a problem or tackle a sudden change of plans.
'Shouldering responsibility and passing on the credit' is a strong quality I hope to master.
As a team and as students we came out victorious on the other end but the process could have been smoother and fun :)
Lots to learn!
