My first DIY watercolor palette

I wanted a lightweight palette to keep in my backpack. Due to CFS, I get very easily fatigued, and can feel every ounce I carry when I'm out walking in nature. I needed something lightweight. I made this compact travel palette from a business card holder, a thin sheet magnet for the bottom of the palette, cri cut white vinyl sticker, and little eyeshadow stainless steel pans from Amazon. I then found Art toolkit, which is not far from where I live in the PNW USA,  and got a few other palettes as they were on sale. They are similar in weight.  These will go with other paints,  both WC and Gouache. The one in these photos contains a cheap watercolor, Castle Arts. I'm a beginner and still have a lot to learn, and don't want to waste expensive paints. I did buy another cheap set of wc, Meeden, as a couple of the ones in the Castle Arts are toxic, and Meeden has certifications that theirs are not toxic. They will arrive tomorrow.

The palette in this photo has 15 paints, but I tested 2 additional colors, Vermillion and Burnt Umber. The other colors I tested are Lemon Yellow, Yellow ochre, Scarlet red, Alizarin crimson, Grenadine, Cerulean blue, Cobalt blue,  Ultramarine blue, Prussian blue, Hooker's green, Viridian green, Sap green, Burnt Sienna, Raw umbre, Burnt umber, Payne's Gray. I tested each one with all the other colors, which I've never done before.  Boy was this tedious, but also fascinating. I want to do this with the new paints after they come in, and then choose a new palette from among both sets, similar to you palette,  as I'm mostly nature journaling with a few urban sketches thrown in,  and want to do mixed media. I learned a lot,  thank you! Sorry for writing a novel.
