Blender 3D: a arte da escultura

Hey Adrien! Awesome, thanks for uploading yet another cool project. Good job on getting the basic anatomy blocked in. I think this dragon/lion has much potential and the more time you'd still spend on it, the better and better it would still get. Right now you have a great basic mesh, and the overall shape and detail suggestions look good! So now would be the time for refining details in higher resolution. Not adjusting the overall shape much anymore, but zooming in a bit and working with Dyntopo on the individual parts, like eyelids, scales, teeth, horns, nose, etc...tip: you can use R to adjust the dyntopo px resolution directly with the brush ;) The teeth could also be done using curves. My latest class "Dazzling designs in 3D" gives a good intro to curves in the first lessons, I think the techniques could inspire and help you with this project! Thanks again for the advice and suggestions! I'm actually thinking about turning this sculpt into a large Kaiju like monster. Do you think its possible to sculpt something like that with a mouse? Or do I need to buy a drawing tablet? Thanks again.

Hi Adrien, you're very welcome. Glad if my words are of help. It would be cool to see what Kaiju could evolve from this! And I would highly recommend to invest into a tablet. It doesn't have to be expensive. But the added functionality like pressure sensitivity and the greater precision of drawing vs. mouse is definitely worth the cost.  Plus: you will simply have so much more fun. It will be an investment for all digital art projects to come - not only in Blender. So if it's possible for you - then go for it. Sculpting with a tablet is a very big difference to sculpting with a mouse. That being said, if you want to go ahead for now without a tablet, just try it out! It's absolutely possible  - I actually drew lots of Microsoft Paint drawings with the mouse when I was younger - but I would say the quality, subtleness and also the speed of a pen is not reachable with the mouse. I hope my thoughts regarding this help you in your decision.  Btw, I still sculpt with a Wacom Intuos 4. It's some years old already, but it absolutely does what it should.  Also thank you so much for the lovely review. I'm very glad you enjoyed my class so much.
