My Watercolor Landscape

My Watercolor Landscape - student project

This class gave me lots of fun ideas for adding texture and interest to my paintings.  I especially liked playing with the dry, scruffy brush for the trees and various places throughout the landscape.

The first time I tried this scene, my paint kept drying too quickly and I ended up with an icky forest of cauliflower blooms. (I definitely need to work on paying more attention to the consistency of my paints when I add multiple layers at once.)

The second time was better... but I added too much water this time and my trees bled more than I wanted.  I look forward to practicing more and using these techniques in some of my other paintings.  Thank you for the great class!!
