I want to keep the conversation going when it comes to layout styles and ideas. So I am going to keep adding my "pre-text" pages here. As is the case with most people, even I am very shy when it comes to sharing my personal thoughts on the Internet! But I do love to share my journal spread ideas... so I'll post pictures here of my spreads which are absolutely finished with love, only minus my handwritten text :)

The spreads posted here include projects from all my Creative Journaling classes here on Skillshare (which you can recreate by enrolling in the classes) some others that I created for myself (so you get some additional ideas from my daily process!) :)

Didn't feel like writing much on this day, so I ended up indulging in some sticker-pasting and stamping therapy! :)

 

Spread 2

I had been working mostly with black journals before 2022 but I decided to mix it up a little bit going forward. So on the first day of 2022, I started a new white-page journal with a quote! :)

Spread 4

On some days, I like to just write a quote or a phrase that captures my whole mood. This was created somewhere around Valentine's Day when I was doing a bunch of social media posts on self-love and self-care.

I really enjoy adding watercolor backgrounds and using scraps of old packaging paper to make quotes.

This is one of my favorites! On the left is a Zentangle Inspired project that I have done on 4 x 4-inch tile and on the right is a collage of some stickers and a bookmark that came to me as a gift from a brand that was doing self-love hampers around Valentine's Day. 

 

Spread 7

The pink texture on the left is to imitate the effect of the pink fiber piece on the right side. I felt like the whole spread gave the vibe of "bloom like a flower even with the chaos around" and so I also chose the quote "Believe in Magic" to go with this.

I am all about leaving ample writing space in my journal spreads and so I try to use lined papers frequently to create writing blurbs.

I have used an envelope on the left to store a newsletter that came in the mail along with my journal supplies.
