I started with a sketch of my subject matter.

 

Then I dove in with the painting looking at my image often.

 

I built up layers of color with my watercolor paints.

 

I added detail with a micron and metallic gold gel pen.

 

I added a shadow to my sunglasses and a bit of table surface.  And here's the finish!
