My Manifesto
I have been stuck in a creative rut for what feels like a long time now, and this was a great exercise to help break out of it. I definitely have felt lost and asked myself countless times why am doing what I do, and having to physically create pieces that define that why is extremely helpful! The scribble exercise I think was unexpectedly my favorite. At first I tried to cover as much of the paper as possible as quickly as possible with my Sharpie, which didn't work at all. I really had to work section by section in order to really cover the paper, covering up my first giant marks with smaller, more concentrated marks and that really hit home in the sense that Rome wasn't built in a day, it takes time and effort to get the results and skill that you want, and while it may be hard and thankless work to others it's still progress in one way or another.
Thanks Adam! This was a great class! :)
