I wanted to test out my learning before investing in linoleum or rubber, as it's really expensive. So, I used a pink eraser. I made the sketch (it's a meme) in procreate, then used my iPad like a lightbox to trace onto tracing paper. Then, I transferred the trace onto the little, pink erase and carved. For being such a soft material, I think it turned out reasonable. Great walk through! I enjoyed putting the flow of carving in one direction into practice and making sure my hands stay out of the way.
