Master Masking Fluid: Day 1-10
Day 1:
I only used Schmincke Masking fluid for day 1. I was really surprised by the different tools and their outcome. I actually liked the paperclip best. The toothbrush was not for me, and with my brush I could not really draw the fine lines, I would have liked.
The Schmincke Masking fluid is quite thick, but as it is water-soluble I mixed it with a little bit of water beforehand. The consistency improved and the masking still works perfectly.
The tip with the detergent was also new for me! The brush was not ruined ;-)

Day 2:
Somehow it became a modern bird ;-)

Day 3:
Teacups: I used the brush for the masking fluid

Day 4: Oranges - tried the brush again

Day 5: Pebbles - my favourite project so far - lines were drawn with a paperclip

Day 6: Q-Tip, brush and paperclip

Day 7: This was also my first time in negative painting.

Day 8: That was really fun - used the paperclip for the Spaghetti again, the handle was masked by a brush.
With this project, I used my 100% cotton cold pressed sketch book and I made the experience, that larger areas did not handle the masking fluid very well. The paper underneath after removing the masking fluid, was roughened and the further application of the color was different.

Day 9 and 10:

Yesterday I finished the last two projects!
It was so much fun following the different assignments the last days. Thank you, Ohn Mar, for sharing your experience and knowledge with us and putting together these nice projects!
These are my results of this very special Zoom Session - I am very happy with these 2!
Update:
I recently bought W&N masking fluid and had my problems with this.
I used it in my etchr sketchbook (100% cotton) and it was not removable without damaging the paper and after a while the surface was stained yellow, although removed after only a few days.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Should I try a different paper?...or came back to another brand?
