Lightbulb Co Trifold
Hello Dylan and Class!
I have to start off by saying that I absolutely loved this class. I am someone who has been creative my whole life but not really technical and also not really understanding the intention behind something like graphic design. I am working on continuing my education and really understanding all the I can to polish up my skills.
A trifold was actually the project that I was LEAST excited by. So, I decided to go for it and try to make it something I was proud of. I have to say the end result still isn't my favorite thing i've ever created but I'm excited to get feedback and see how I can grow from here.
Inspiration: I started off by searching google and Pinterest for some design ideas to get my creative juices flowing. I was under the impression that I should just build this from scratch ( meaning without any inspiration ) and took an hour just staring at the screen and moving boxes around. Once I looked around for some inspiration, I felt more prepared to make something happen.
what would you charge for this project? : At this point, I would say $250. It took me about 3 hours to complete and then adding an additional 1-2 hours on for client communication and 1 hour for inspiration, that leaves me at about $40/ hour. I feel comfortable with that, although I'm not sure my design experience supports it. Factoring that in, perhaps $175.
How would you present it for client review? : I would provide these in flat PDF files and also probably put together a little mockup if I have one on hand. It just seems like it would have a polished effect that the client could see.
I'd love to hear any feedback you have!
