I am excited to start and weekends are easier for me to work on extras, so I am a day early for the session. I am not allowed to paint where I live, so I chose a piece of furniture that I would like to use as more of a room divider, but haven't becasue the back is unattractive. It is a piece of bead board paneling. So It is smooth but has a few knots in it.
It measures 72.5 inches tall and 32 inches wide.
Lettering is what I would like to paint. Large script words I think. And maybe black and white. I will have to decide on what I want to say next...

After considering several quotes, I think I have settled on this one by Martin Luther King, Jr.

I felt having an encouraging message in my living space would be a positive thing. I have only started roughly thinking of how it can stack to fit the space well with this simple written sketch. I think the words Darkness and Stars should be proportinally larger.
MY SKETCH:
I drew a proportionally reduced rectangle to sketch in and I made the lettering fill the space and added little stars at the end of the flourishes and stroke terminals. I think the words "can you" are too low of an angle compared to the other words and need to be tipped up a little and made smaller closer in size to "in the".

Here is a mockup in photoshop of what it might look like with a night sky color of blue as a background.
