This was tough to upload, I had to reduce the quality so much that unfortunately the final image looks a little terrible haha! The final image has some "noise" added to get a more aged feel, but here I like the beta image, the top one in this post (you can see the final one on my Insta and Twitter pages in its best form.

So when I started this project I was completely lost haha. The lesson was very simply laid out but I’m terrible at more abstract and loose art (even though it’s one of my favorites). After some clarification and encouragement from Ira, I found a way to incorporate my style and what I excel in  (cartoony style and gaming) into the Art Nouveau form. I took the inspiration from the cover of Ver Sacrum (seen in the WIP picture above), promotional images from Zelda (Breath of the Wild), and a good friend of mine. I’ve never worked with negative space before ass much as I love it, but it was fun and equally frustrating to say the least haha. I was going for a very nice flow with an open space to give the sense of openness.

Anyways, great learning experience and it produced one of my favorite images. I will say one more thing, I’d probably change the lettering if I redid it (still could but ehhh). I think the colors are cool but something about it doesn’t feel right. The lettering possibly, also the what it kind of pops goes against the flatness of the Ver Sacrum magazines style. I would’ve loved to make the lettering say "The Legend" or "Zelda" but if I keep picking at it I’ll never be done, and that’s very hard for a perfectionist like me (not a good trait lol) Oh hands... hands are terrible to draw haha!
