Trying to do more preliminary work than I usually do with this project. Love the class! 

Brush mark practice with my first go at mixing my own colors. 

Sketches of stock photos so I can figure out the best subject. This really helped pinpoint which ones felt too cluttered or unfocused. 

Had fun mixing colors to get a palette I liked :D

 

Progress with my reference photo. And realized that I should have done my flats inverted - whoops. But it’s a good learning experience and I’m having fun :)
