Just Doing the Projects as Described
The automatic cropping of the cover image did not allow the whole letter to fit; it's a V. I don't have access to the tools to do the digital projects, so just analogue.
This is wet-on-wet. I kept hoping I'd get the ink to move around nicely, but that never happened. It looks two-toned, but I used only one ink (Higgins Black India.)
I used the same ink for the silhouette, and despite several layers it would not reach solid black. Ah, disappointments. It's a kitsune. I happened to see a video of a fox nose-diving into snow, and somehow ended up with this idea.
I tried to make an owl out of repetitive marks.
This color ink was fun to use, but I way over estimated how much I'd need.
I guess this is the drawing I combined techniques with, though looking at it now i maybe could have used more. A portrait of one of the box turtles that lives in my mother's neighbor's yard.
