Iberian Lynx

I used Baohong Masters' Choice 300gsm 100% cotton rough paper in size 35x25 cm and Daniel Smith's tube watercolors. I didn't have the exact same colors as Jane, so I went with what I got: Gray Titanium, Alvaro's Caliente Grey, Hematite Genuine, Sepia, German Greenish Raw Umber, Sicklerite Genuine, Cobalt Blue plus some Quinacridone Gold and Undersea Green for the eye. And instead of masking fluid, I used white goauche for the whiskers.

Painting loosely is usually a struggle for me, but this went better than I expected and it was so much fun! After everything was almost done, I was worried because my lynx was looking way too light:

...so I did another layer to darken it, and it turned out much better in my opinion! I'm very pleased with the result,  I'll definitely try to do more with this style.

Thank you so much for the class, Jane! And congrats on your well deserved success! :)
