I tried. I messed up. Onward!

Glazing? Like I haven’t done it before…. Like I didn’t watch the class twice….

Yet, I mixed up, putting red/pink on first layer then blue then a neutral. Oops — I did 3 not 4 layers. I chose colors from what I had, was determined to use my new DS Shadow Purple which is dark and akin to Payne’s Gray. Sorta.

My first mistake was starting the process with the Quin Red (left) and Alizaron Crimson (Right) instead of the blues. Dried. Then Ultramarine B (left), Manganese (right). Dried. Final glaze w/ Shadow Violet (left) and gray (right). Dried. Pulled off the tape. Meh.

Next step: “independent study.” The question: “What will happen if I spray these?” The spritzer awaits.

Come back to see the spritzed little paintings. Maybe color speckles after that dries?

I can live with this. Used spritzer, poked a deerfoot brush around for texture. Some lifting done and paint spattered.

Would butterflies now be an over-do?

Bianca, you made it possible for me to pull several techniques out of my hat to work on these! Your classes are rich with information that cross-pollinates into new projects! Blessings and thanks!
