Head in the Clouds

My eyes gravitate toward the skies lately
In the skies, there is expectant hope
The clouds reign and cover the blueness
He says to look up to the heavens
But I stop at the cloudy wonders of the world
As they gleam so many moods of color
Moods of radiant joy and somber sorrows
The pearlescent warm glows comfort me
Even the grim shades of grey comfort me
I cling to the wonder despite all the head fog
I pause in all the fogginess, cloudiness this season
Because in the midst of it, there will be clarity
