The first goldfish at the top was mainly copying the reference photo, but taking out a lot of the intricate detail like the scales. All of the other goldfish on the page were attempts at taking the same fish, but messing around with it, trying out different things, as well as different tools.

 

Top one was with pen and colored pencil, the grey one to the right was pen and grayscale alcohol marker, the one below that was more colored pencil but slightly different colors, the one to the bottom right was just liner pens, and then the bottom was pen and watercolor.
