Geoffrey the Giraffe

Thoroughly enjoyed this class with Messer Creations. I did not have charcoal so used graphite. Braden had been kind enough to respond to me on a recent Skillshare discussion on suitable graphite subs for the charcoal, and unfortunately the discussion seems to have vanished. I did my best and layed down a light graphite under layer then darkened with softer graphite, but did not get the depth of tone charcoal would have rendered. Still, I am happy with the result and would like to take more classes like this. I used  2B through 8B graphite pencils but primarily used blending stumps, also used a soft brush, mono zero eraser, regular eraser, and putty eraser and Strathmore medium surface drawing paper.

I have been primarily addicted to watercolor painting over the last two years. Prior to that, I had done a little drawing but definitely would like to improve my skills. I am glad there are some great Skillshare classes to choose from in drawing just as we have in watercolor!
