<p>Kristin, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful snowman with us! He is gorgeous! I love how you have painted him. In regards to the shadow you said you weren't happy with.  When you lay down the first wash of colour on the shadow and go in with your darker colour thats closest to the snowman, use less water in your paint and your brush before you put that second darker colour down.  It will stop the colour from spreading too much and causing back runs. I'm always here to help if you have any other issues.</p>

Thanks so much. Im going to do another one and see how i can improve.  I'm new to watercolor and I absolutely love it. I just need more practice to control the amount of water but lessons like yours are so wonderful and helpful for us beginners. Thanks again!

I'm so glad to hear that my lessons are helping you to learn about watercolor.  This is how I learned and taught myself, through skillshare and tutorials on other platforms such as youtube and patreon.  There are a few more beginner friendly tutorials on my profile.  The sea turtle might be a good one for you because the steps are broken down alot.  Keep learning every day and practise yourself too. Never give up you will get there! Watercolors are the best medium in my opinion and they're so much fun to use! (I've tried almost every art material and crafting there is out there!)

Im not happy with my bottom shadow but I'm going to try another one and hope to see improvements.  :)</p>
