I actually think there is a lot to like here. The soft muted feeling in the window and wall creates a really beautiful atmospheric mood, and your flowers bring in a lovely sense of life and movement.I also think your weathered wood texture on the shutter turned out especially well. It feels aged and natural without becoming too stiff or overworked, which can be tricky in architectural pieces.And honestly, I think recognizing when something feels “too heavy” is part of developing your artistic eye. That awareness is a really good thing because it means you’re starting to notice balance, value, and color weight in your own work. That’s growth.The wonderful part is that the next two classes in the series will give you even more opportunities to experiment with lighter washes and softer layering while still building confidence with structure and texture.Thank you so much for painting along with the series and sharing your progress. That is great to hear you will be taking the next 2 classes! Each class is designed to build onto your skills. I am really looking forward to seeing your projects! I framed mine and hung them in my powder room and I am loving how they all coordinate! Great job! 

I bet they look great framed! I showed mine to some friends and one of them said that looking at it just made her feel instantly happy. Such a wonderful compliment!

This was a fun class. I don't care for the colors I chose and it seems a bit heavy to me, but I'll keep that in mind when I try the next two classes in the series
