Hi All!

Thanks Toby for another great class and the chance to purchase new materials! Who needs an excuse, eh?!?!?!

So! Water soluble pastels ~ hmmmm, enjoyed using them although I couldn't quite afford the Caran D'ache ones without giving the bank manager another sleepless night lol!

The set I bought are rather nice though, good selection of colours and they feel nice and soft going onto the paper. I did this in my everyday sketch book and it worked well enough ~ the next time I use them, I will use watercolour paper and see how much difference that makes :) 

This is a first effort, it's ok ish, I didn't leave enough white so it looks a bit 'messy' to me. Given the choice between these crayons and Inktense, I think at the moment it would have to be the Inktense. But that might change as I use them more and get used to them.

I think my perspective is 'off', it usually is!
